Details
The VT82C598MVP is a System Controller Hub (SCH) chipset designed for use in Intel Pentium III processor-based desktop PCs. It features support for a 100 MHz front side bus and can accommodate up to 1 GB of SDRAM memory. The chipset includes an integrated 2D/3D graphics controller, as well as an Advanced Graphics Port (AGP) for connecting a dedicated graphics card.The VT82C598MVP also includes support for the Accelerated Hub Architecture (AHA), which provides a high-bandwidth connection between the SCH and the CPU. This helps to improve overall system performance by reducing latency and increasing data throughput.Other features of the VT82C598MVP chipset include support for PCI 2.2, USB 1.1, and AC '97 audio. It also includes support for a Super I/O controller, floppy disk controller, and ATA-66/100 IDE interface for connecting hard drives and other storage devices.
