The MC2833D is a low cost FM transmitter integrated circuit designed for use in portable, battery-operated communication devices. It operates in the UHF frequency range (300-470 MHz) and is capable of transmitting FM signals with a programmable frequency deviation of up to ±5 kHz.The IC features a built-in PLL synthesizer with ultra-low phase noise, allowing for stable and high-quality signal transmission. It also includes a pre-emphasis circuit for improving the signal-to-noise ratio of the transmitted audio.The MC2833D is designed to be highly efficient, with a low current consumption of only 6 mA in stand-by mode and 12 mA when transmitting at maximum output power. It operates over a wide supply voltage range of 2.7V to 5.5V, making it suitable for use in a variety of battery-powered applications.Additional features of the MC2833D include a programmable power output of up to 10 mW, a built-in data slicer for digital data transmission, and compatibility with external audio input sources.
